Just as the valves, the ducts of the lines out of a vacuum vessel are a critical connection between the cryogenic temperature and the environment.
The bayonet or Johnston couplings realise a smooth, separable transition between a vacuum vessel, into which the pipelines of the cryogenic media are installed, and a vacuum-insulated transfer line, carrying the liquid to another vessel.
This separation is required to be able to complete and test the production of a complex system at the producer's premises.
WEKA manufactures a very extensive range of coaxial couplings to meet the different requirements. In addition to simple transfer line couplings for helium, hydrogen or nitrogen, WEKA offers several transfer line couplings as well as the possibility to install them horizontally or equip them with high-voltage insulation.
